The Journey So Far - with Swarup Sarkar (concluding part)

Updated: Sep 30, 2020

#PurushPaksh is an attempt to understand and document the issues that affect men. It is an initiative of Daaman, a part of the Save Indian Family (SIF) Movement, the Men’s Rights Movement (MRM) in India.

In the first four-part series, Daaman interviews few renowned Men’s Rights Activists of the country, and unravels the journey so far. From the start of the movement to the challenges and the roadblocks that hit the work, reminisced with the people who have given their life & blood to the cause. The journey so far shines with small achievements and leaves a lot to be done ahead. These activists share their thoughts on the past, present and the future of the MRM.

Episode 2: In continuation of part 1, Swarup Sarkar explains that as after some years the tribe increased on the virtual platforms, few early zealots ventured to meet annually in an event that goes on to be termed as the National Meet of the SIF. Sarkar clearly credits his vision on choosing the free advice and association model over the paid model of help that prefers to charge a certain fee from each victim that approaches for help. So much so, that over this ideological difference he willingly let go some of his early associates who shared the stage with him through the early years of the fight. As a true visionary, he is open about people coming and leaving the organisation but his undaunted commitment to the cause shows when he says that the movement should survive every thick and thin of time.

Don't expect much as long the men's issues are perceived to be only restricted to biased laws. It's much beyond that. Drop this 'peedit pati' image!

So parents of children separates mother takes with her the children & files for maintenance of all by filing CRPC125. If father refuses court makes attachment to his income. & if Husband drops his all income then court will send him behind bars. When husband files Restitution of conjugal right seeks order then she flouts the order knowingly. Further he if proceeds for execution court shows / expresses inability. By article 14 15 & 21 of Indian constitution men & women are equal then by Hin…

You are fighting for equality but but in 2005 govt made Domestic violence act in which when case in motion Gents in that can not seek orders against woman but in divorce case he can seek order against her if she files divorce case. Now a days she is eligible for seek share in fathers property as well as in husbands property; also what ever streedhan with her is untamed by husband. Why this inequality by constitution . Then why we are fighting for equality. Please first remove this disparity. Because Now woman like Kalpana Chavla had made space walk
