#HopeForMen - Legal Awareness Seminar by Save Indian Family Movement

#HopeForMen

Today, Men and Boys in India live in a world that is not similar to that of women and girls and unfortunately, very handful of people understand this difference. Most people carry an opinion that there are no differences, and if at all there are any, they are minimal. This opinion is understandable too, since, while growing up, this is what our gynocentric society teaches us, media highlights and reinforced by deep-rooted misandry in our society.

We are made to believe that being a man is about not crying, rather it's about 'protecting' women and children along with 'providing' for the family.

And based on these very historic general perceptions only we all claim to know what it means to be a man!

Despite the fact that their's ever-growing evidence that it's actually men that are discriminated against, everyone very conveniently ignores and pretends that it's women and girls that need to be protected from toxic masculinity.

There are several factors that are instrumental in making the world Men and Boys live in, exceedingly different. Out of all the factors of discrimination that Men face, gender-biased laws are also one.

And to help the Men who are victims of gender-bias in society and laws, #Hope4Men is back!

#Hope4Men is a series of legal awareness seminars organized by Delhi chapter of Save Indian Family Movement in Delhi- NCR to help the victims of the misuse of gender-based laws to understand their basic rights as a citizen and also as accused in-case of a false-case coming their way.

In continuation of providing legal awareness to people, Daaman's brother NGOs, Men Welfare Trust & Save Family Foundation under the aegis of Save Indian Family Movement, are organizing the 'Legal Awareness Seminar' on fighting with gender-biased laws on Saturday 14 March 2020.

This will be a day-long free seminar where all are invited, however, the seating arrangement will be on a first come first serve basis.
