The 11th edition of National Meet under the aegis of ‘Save Indian Family Movement’ commenced on 15th to 17th of August 2019 at Hotel Tuli International, Sadar, Nagpur. Mr. Karan Oberoi & Mr. Vipul Deshpande were the guest dignitaries who graced the occasion with their presence.
This year, our Annual National Meet focused on the strategy to get the Lawmakers to respect Article 14 & 21 of the Constitution of India, especially when it comes to Equality before Law, Life, Liberty & Dignity of Men in India.
Article 14 has put Equality before Law as a Fundamental Right. It clearly states, "The state shall not deny to any person Equality before the law or the equal protection of the laws within the territory of India". In the garb of "provisions" mentioned in Article 15(3), Government of India, for years have completely disrespected Article 14, 15 when they blatantly made around 50 Gender-Based Laws, mostly affecting an immediate arrest, this completely encroaching the fundamental rights of living with dignity conferred under Article 21.
Just by virtue a person being a male, from birth till death, discrimination by law has become the order of the day for him. Irrespective of whomever he is, right of living with dignity has been completely destroyed under the influence of gender-bias in society and laws. Article 21, as a subsection of Fundamental Rights of Citizens of India mandates, protection of life and personal liberty. The article reads, "No person shall be deprived of his life or personal liberty except according to the procedure established by law". Again, by misusing Article 15(3), the protection of life and personal liberty had been completely destroyed of Male gender by the laws, policies, data collection, data interpretation and data publishing by theCon Government since many years thus turning India as the largest Suicide capital of World.
Around 150 delegates from over 40 Men's Rights Activists' groups and NGOs from across the country joined hands to raise voice for the welfare of Men in #NationalMeet2019.
